Small Business Technical Assistance Grants
The Lawrence Partnership, in collaboration with the Essex County Community Foundation (ECCF) administers a fund for Technical Assistance for small businesses located in Andover, North Andover and Lawrence.
The Fund
The Essex County Community Foundation’s Merrimack Valley Small Business Innovation and Resiliency Fund will be used for such needs as consulting services, marketing, website design, quick books, and any other strategic capacity needs of the participating business. The amount per award will be up to $3,000. The funds are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Process
Technical Assistant providers will consult with small business clients to see if they have technical assistance needs consistent with those outlined here. If they do, the provider will work with their small business client to fill out an application on behalf of the business owner.
Once the application is complete, the applicant will save the form which will be automatically stored in our drive at the Lawrence Partnership. The Technical Assistance provider will then coordinate with the Lawrence Partnership to provide the additional supporting documentation. The Lawrence Partnership will then review the application and if it meets the requirements an award will be made.
Administrative Fees
Service providers will receive a fee of 10% of the awarded amount for their work on behalf of the successful applicant. This fee will be sent separately from the recipient award.
